Historical Catalog of the Italian Documentation Centre on Cooperatives and Social Economy from 1988 to 2019 and Italian Bibliography on Cooperation
An internet consulting of OPAC (On line Public Access Catalog) allows to carry out by default the search involved on all the archives of bibliographical information. It is possible to make targeted researchs on the items owned by the library by selecting Italian Centre of Cooperatives Documentation.
The description of the sources is made in the format prescribed by the International Standard Bibliographic Description (ISBD). Subjects are all referred to the list of topics for Catalogs of Italian libraries, curated by the Central National Library of Florence. Rome, ICCU, 1995.
The areas of interest of the library relate to the economical, legal, historical and sociological features concerning the cooperative movement, as well as the specific fields involving the sectors of activity in which cooperative companies perform.
The catalog contains 28.000 bibliographical descriptions of monographs, magazines, audiovisual and graphical materials liable to be consulted at the library. More than 5.000 news concern reports, conferences, seminars, balance reports, statutes and brochures published by the cooperative organizations and hardly available on publishing markets.
The posters catalogued, about 500, use passwords that, together with the graphic representations illustrate the social communication of the cooperative movement from years ’50 up to the present day. It is possible to view, jointly to the bibliographical descriptions, the related digital pictures.
By selecting in the drop-down menu “Bibliografia italiana sulla cooperazione”(Italian Bibiliography on cooperation) it is possible to carry out the search on bibliographical references in Italian language, having a thematic area referred to cooperation. The bibliography contains 11.000 bibliographical references. The volumes corresponding to the descriptions are not always held as property by the library of the Centre.
